Getting Natural Backlinks, the Natural Way

Published by Eli on Sep 1st, 2007. Filed under Updates.

Anyone from anywhere will tell you that the key to getting natural backlinks is good content, well, I would tell you that as well. They key to getting the most possible natural backlinks is good content, plenty of exposure (particularly to the right kind of people) and also it would help to have a ‘Link Us’ page or maybe a section at the bottom of your articles that say ‘link to this article’.

But it’s mainly about getting the right kind of people to view your article, the people that blog, and also blog about your stuff for free - these people are called diggers! Have you ever made it to the front page of digg? Your trackbacks/pings will go up like crazy, depending on the article you’ll probably get 10 or so free backlinks/posts dedicated to your site, that is, if the community likes your article and you didn’t game the system!

Google Analytics Statistics

I myself have been receiving a fair amount of natural backlinks lately to PhotoshopStar, most of which aren’t even English… sadly, but free links nevertheless. One good example of a natural backlink I received recently would be this article I found entitled 60 Advanced Adobe Photoshop Tutorials, and even though I only got one link in there (it’s an image) I’ve recieved something like 300 visits from his site, that’s 150+ per day, looking at my Analytics.

The kind of article he’s written here is also a good idea of linkbait, or a way of getting free backlinks, he almost made it to digg, but not quite, who knows about the other social bookmarking sites though.

In conclusion, getting natural backlinks ‘the natural way’ is just sitting back and working on your site some more!

:P
